Exclusion is a problem in the LGBTQ+ community. Trans people are often excluded by Lesbian and Gay spaces, bi-phobia and bi-erasure are prevalent. Non-binary people? They have nowhere to go, and the asexuals are ostracized in general. Your broadcasters are taking this episode to touch upon all these topics, and more.

Out Of Spite is the show where LGBTQ+ issues are anything but out of mind.

The following is all statistics and data:
Regarding Bi-Phobia, according to a 2019 study:
- Bisexual people have poorer mental health than their gay, lesbian or heterosexual counterparts
- Bisexual people in what appear to be “heterosexual” relationships were “particularly vulnerable to depressive symptoms and bi-negativity”. This also directly challenges belief that bisexual people in heterosexual relationship have “privilege” due to having less stressors from a same-sex one (as in, looking less like a minority group).
- Bisexual people can find themselves in a space where their partner does not support their sexuality

Regarding Bi-Erasure, according to a 2016 academic article:
Bisexuality is often coded as an “immature phase” that will be outgrown, and/or considered to be a “safe” option for those who are “afraid to fully come out” as purely homosexual.

Regarding Asexual Exclusion:
The creator of the Asexual Awareness Week, Sara Beth Brooks, experienced significant pushback from the LGBT community, being told that asexuals should “stop trying to pretend they’re special”, and that “asexuals are trying to co-opt the movement”
