Young preachers who are in school, intending to make their life's work that of Christian ministry, are encouraged to take a course called "homiletics." This is a class on the preparation and delivery of sermons. One of the things taught is that a good sermon should have a "catchy" title - - one that will get the attention of the congregation immediately.
