The gunman is still at large and a manhunt is ongoing after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot and killed in an ambush in New York City on Wednesday morning. The NYPD released photos of the suspect and asked for the public’s help in identifying him.

A magnitude 7 earthquake struck off the coast of Northern California on Thursday, prompting a brief tsunami warning for people along the West Coast. The shock was felt as far south as San Francisco, but there were no reports of major damage or injuries.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he will name a new prime minister within days after France's parliament ousted the government in a no-confidence vote. Macron also vowed to remain in office until the end of his term in 2027.
