Repentance to the Correct One

We each have a part to do when it comes to our spiritual lives. Our pastor can pray for us every second of the day but it’s up to each individual person to change. In the Old Testament, before Christ was born, the people depended on the priest to cleanse the sins of the people. After Christ was born and died the separation between God and man was removed. We no longer depend on a person to speak to God on our behalf.

We are all vessels that contain either good or bad things. If we walk around with our vessels filled with trash, the trash keeps us from being close to God. One can go to their pastor and speak to them about their trash but the pastor can’t do anything about your trash. They can certainly pray for you but it’s up to you to speak to God about your trash. Repentance to God is what it takes to clean up the trash in our vessel.

If you’re a Christian and walk around with your head dropped and only talk about doom and gloom, don’t expect anyone to want what you have. Why would they want to be depressed? If you can’t smile in God’s house then you certainly ain’t doing it out in the world.

There is no shame in having lice. The shame is not getting rid of them. Being in sin is part of being a human. Knowing you’re sinning and doing nothing about it is the problem.
