Let’s take a look at European entrepreneurship from a foreign perspective. This episode is intended for those who may want to work remotely from another country while living in Europe; such as digital nomads, and expats looking to relocate themselves as well as their business. We’ll cover topics from personal connections, societal norms, banking practices and practical tips on what to take into account as well as touching on the tax structures in Europe that you might find if you are looking to form a business here. Understanding how the various systems interact with one another can be crucial to properly navigating your business successfully through Europe. Of course, on top of everything, the manner in which business interactions are conducted can greatly influence the outcome of your ventures. The balance between social and professional interactions is a balancing act between formality and informality that I would say many North Americans should become familiar with and how business is done differently “across the pond”. In this expat business podcast episode of Not Your Average Globetrotter we’ll overview the entrepreneurial scene across Europe from a foreign perspective and compare and contrast entrepreneurship in Europe with entrepreneurship in North America.

00 - Opening Thoughts & Intro

18 - Working with Europeans is not working with a single culture or set of rules

39 - Punctuality

05 - Social Business Interactions

48 - A tangent, better not to ask what somebody does….

51 - Pricing Services and Products

49 - Haggling and Negotiating

54 - Making/Receiving Payments

02 - Basics RE: Basing Your Business in Europe
