In this Part 5, the host opened the start of the second hour of the program, asking Mark Henkel to address legal victories and challenges. As heard in the previous episode of this podcast, just as Mark Henkel began to respond, he was unexpectedly disconnected from the show. Mark Henkel provided a comprehensive telling of the Brown v Buhman case (aka as the "Sister Wives" case) that went up to the Supreme Court of the United States. Mark Henkel also detailed the steps to the passage of a Utah State law in May, 2020, that reduced the charge of bigamy from a felony down to an infraction (like a parking ticket). Then Mark Henkel shared how the beginning of what he called "Covid1984" had so occupied the news cycle of the year 2020 that pro-polygamists were denied a "victory lap" in the media about that new Utah law.
