I've always believed that the job is a true artist DJ is like walking a tightrope in that it's imperative to deliver music to listeners that they easily latch on to and identify with while at the same time staying true to the artistry aspect of it all by playing fresh and unique music that has a great air of surprise and mystique to it. It's always a delicate balance. Play too much of the music that's easy to latch on to and the DJ risks being more juke box than artist. Play too much unique and unknown music and the DJ risks alienating his audience by not giving them the vague familiarity that almost all of us seek in our experiences. Those facts are always on my mind. I want to be the perfect artist DJ for you by delivering fresh, new and unknown music to you while still including you in the process by finding things that you yourself know. That brings me to this, my newest DJ mix. I believe I've found the perfect balance here in bringing you the best in both "known and unknown". This set includes the outstanding new remake of the Cyndi Lauper's classic "True Colors" by Sam Smith, a breathtaking new remake of "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses, fresh new remixes of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" and "Living On My Own" by Freddie Mercury. All surrounded by the most gorgeous and emotionally-rich chill and deep house of today. My goal has been to pull at your heartstrings...and I dearly hope to have succeeded.
