Our top story is last night’s presidential debate. MPR reporters Mark Zdechlik and Ellie Roth attended Republican and Democratic watch parties to get reactions from Minnesotans.

The Wayzata Police Department is seeking the public's help in finding an artifact that was part of a 9/11 memorial. The Wayzata Crime Prevention Coalition is offering a $1,000 reward for the return of a glass piece that was part of a granite memorial in Panoway Plaza Park. Police learned of the vandalism last week and say evidence at the scene indicates the piece was removed.

This is an MPR News morning update, hosted by Emily Bright. Music by Gary Meister.
