Is this episode we introduce you to Ada, who decided to leave her home in Greece as the effects of a financial crisis were being felt by so many people in that country.
We trace her steps from her previous career in Greece to her successful study in Melbourne, and her eventual employment as an accountant.
David explains the pathway from student visa, to graduate and working visas, how different skills and activities help an applicant acquire the necessary points for general skilled migration to Australia, and how the government can make a change that any time that can affect the plan that any applicant has made.
Ada tells us what she thinks about Australia now, would she do it again and her advice for others about coming to Australia and studying.
We also find out her direct experience about how where you come from can affect the approach the Australian authorities take to your application.
