Manufacturing Matters with The Council of Industry

Since 1963 Access has been supporting individuals and families with very different needs including those with significant medical or behavioral issues, and others who live independently with minimal help. They provide behavioral health services, services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Among those services is Access Business Solutions which provides meaningful employment to disabled individuals.

In this episode Council of Industry President Harold King speaks with Ron Colavito, President and CEO of Access Supports for Living and Chris Masters, Executive Director of the Access Foundation and Access Business Solutions. With more than 1500 employees in the region Access is not only a provider of vital services, they also have a major impact on the economy. The programs they deliver including mental health services and residential and career programs for people with developmental disabilities have always been important but during the pandemic they have taken on a greater urgency.

Harold talks with Ron and Chris about Access’ programs and services, the heroic work of the staff during the first months of the pandemic and the uptick they are experiencing in their Mental Health services. They also talk about the pivot to producing hand sanitizer that Access Business Solution’s undertook and the opportunities for Access and Council of Industry members to work together.
