What initially appears to be a simple home invasion gone wrong soon reveals layers of deception and a possible murder-for-hire plot.
On March 23, 2024, Lindy was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to her groin, an unusual detail that Ky finds particularly telling. As the investigation unfolds, police arrest 55-year-old Darrell Riley based on a tip that he was hired to kill Lindy. The plot thickens when it is revealed that Lindy's husband, James Rummel, had a suspicious alibi and a potential motive involving a $35,000 insurance payout and a motorcycle.
Ky delves into the evidence, including a bizarre pillowcase filled with items like leather chaps and nitrile gloves, left behind at the crime scene. She questions the plausibility of the robbery narrative and examines the relationship between James and Darrell, who met while serving time in prison.
