This year is the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War.

Adam Koniuszewski was born in Poland, he and his parents managed to escape in the 1970s to Canada.

Adam is now Geneva based and wants to mark this important date by cycling the length of the former Iron Curtain. Along the way he’ll collect stories, talk to people and share their stories with others – in an effort to link all the countries – 20 of them – that used to border the Eastern Bloc.

Adam joined me in the studio before embarking on the next stage of his epic journey...
