This episode is going to have you thinking all about how your stress level is effecting you wellbeing. Katie Olderman is a licensed clinical nutritionist who focus on whole person healthcare. She treats the root cause of your digestion, anxiety, strep, fatigue and burnout. Katie's goal is to take the symptoms you are experiencing and tracing them to their cause which, in most cases, is chronic stress. We talk about how living in hustle culture and how our past traumas keep us in a state of fight or flight. She explains how tapping back into the parasympathetic nervous system helps to regain balance and, in turn, helps to start the healing process. We talk about the shame and guilt that is present around slowing down and taking care of self, how anxiety comes from feeling unsafe in your body and her upcoming group program Address The Stress.
