This week marks EFL Youth Development week, highlighting the hard work and dedication that goes into producing the country's young footballers and the successes and journeys they go on.
With that said, we thought it the perfect time to produce an Academy special, with Guy Clarke sitting down at Christopher Park alongside Head of Academy, Gregor Rioch, Development Squad coach Nick Chadwick and Under 18 coach Peter Murphy, discussing a wide range of topics from player development to the results out on the pitch this season for our unbeaten Under 18s and the impressive Development Squad.
The trio discuss the current batch of youth internationals, the upcoming FA Youth Cup clash with Liverpool, their own experiences as young players in the EFL and much more.
We also hear from Antonee Robinson on his return to training and his game time in a behind closed doors friendly against Fleetwood Town on Wednesday, go in-depth on his recovery process from an ankle injury and discuss his time in the EFL as a young player on loan from Everton.
And finally, we divert away from the Academy theme to catch up with Jonas Olsson in the latest Getting to Know You segment. We find out what motivates the Swedish central defender and all about his appreciation for the music of Bob Dylan, although we're promised that won't be his initiation song ahead of the weekend!
