Jesus came to set the captives free. There is captivity that goes far beyond bars. What is our captivity? For most of us, it's the lies that bind us not the ties that bind us. Our primary captivity is the lies we've come to believe about ourselves, and these are insidious. We do have an enemy who is seeking whom to devour, and his primary tool in that destruction is deception. His primary purpose in deceiving us, is to deceive us about our own story and about who we really are. If the enemy can plant deceptive lies inside our own story then we self destruct.
