Ruby Franke, a former YouTube personality known for her family channel "8 Passengers," was sentenced to prison on charges of child abuse. Franke, along with her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt, pled guilty to multiple counts of aggravated child abuse. Their sentencing followed disturbing revelations about the severe mistreatment of Franke's children, which included physical restraints and malnourishment.

The abuse came to light when Franke's 12-year-old son escaped from Hildebrandt's home in August 2023, prompting neighbors to alert authorities. The children were found with severe wounds and malnutrition, leading to the arrest of Franke and Hildebrandt.
During the sentencing, Franke expressed remorse, apologizing to her children for the physical and emotional harm caused. She received a sentence that could range from 4 to 30 years in prison, depending on parole decisions.
