Content warning: this episode covers the topic of suicide and depression. If you need resources or support, talk to your GP or a relevant health practitioner.

Shaun Lane is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a second-row forward for the Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League (NRL). He previously played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, New Zealand Warriors and the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the NRL.

Shaun embarked on a 9-year journey filled with ups and downs, learning to embrace the inevitable challenges of high-performance sport and life. His youth was marked by his father's depression and suicidal thoughts, experiences that became a source of strength. In this episode, Shaun’s personal experiences on and off the field as well as his recent studies in psychology have given him a new life purpose - to inspire others about the power of their mindset. He highlights the role of taking accountability, and what he believes is the key to well-being and fulfillment.
