How do you create a soundtrack to a moment?
Something that adds rather than takes something away?
Sunset is always such a special moment on Ibiza.
People have made whole careers out of soundtracking it on the island, including Jose Padilla, who is sadly no longer with us.
He was managed once upon a time by todays guest, DJ and music lover, Pete Gooding who was a super fan and has many magic memories of the man himself which he shares with us today.
Pete has been off and off the island for the best part of three decades dipping in and out of radio presenting and DJing, he now works and manages a range of artists full time. Pete has been a resident DJ at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza since the summer of 1996, is regularly seen laying it down for sunset at Hostal La torre and has compiled many of the Cafe Mambo compilation series with Universal Records.
He is also one half of the selection team behind the Hostal La Torre compilation series, of which there has only been four to date, but have a fond place in our hearts.

Today we release our final interview from TedX Dalt Vila on the Reset Rebel for Episode 210! Feels like a huge milestone this year and might just whet your appetite for the weekend in more ways than one, for what’s is still to come!! Dr. Marta Recio Rodriguez is a specialist in sexology and regenerative gynecology, with a clinical and academic focus on women’s sexual health, anatomy, and wellness. Her work explores the intersection between medical science, psychology, and the cultural narratives that have historically shaped — and often silenced — the conversation around female pleasure. Throughout her career, Marta has listened to countless women share their deepest fears, insecurities, and questions — many of which are still wrapped in stigma or shame. She says women’s sexual pleasure has long been pushed to the margins of both medicine and society. So today, we’re flipping the script as Marta invites us to re-examine the science, the silence, and the societal blind spots… as she did in her talk, “The Clitoris: The Story of the Button No One Can Find." - Coming soon to Ted X Youtube, but first we hope you learn something in todays episode. Last Saturday as I hosted TED X Dalt Vila on stage here in Ibiza, I invited a talk about the Truth. It IS supposed to be absolute, unquestionable and the facts that form the very foundation of everything we know or at least expect to be true. But in today’s world—where deepfakes blur reality, misinformation spreads like wildfire, and algorithms shape what we see and believe—how do we even begin to separate fact from fiction? We live in an era where narratives outweigh nuance and headlines out shout honesty. Where the sheer volume of information doesn’t make us more informed, but more divided, more uncertain, and more vulnerable to have the wool pulled over our eyes. Our next speaker is someone who carved out career as an investigative journalist. Bob Trafford spent years unearthing hidden truths, analysing evidence, and navigating the delicate line between what is real and what is manufactured working for Forensic Architecture. His work doesn’t just reveal what we believe to be true—but why we believe it. So, in a world where the truth is increasingly up for debate, how do we find it? And just as importantly—how do we protect it?…

Beneath the surface of the sea, buried under layers of time, lie stories waiting to be told. Right now, today´s podcast guest is quite literally uncovering history—on an under water excavation in Menorca, exploring a shipwreck lost to time. But archaeology isn’t just about the past. It’s about the present—and the future. It’s about understanding where we come from so we can navigate where we are going. Trevor J Wallace is an explorer, artist, and filmmaker, as well as the Vice President of Research & Education at The Explorers Club. From Scythian tombs to submerged shipwrecks, from sacred sites in Hawai’i to the stories we haven’t yet discovered, his work is about more than artifacts— it is about understanding the human experience. So why does archaeology matter now—in a world dominated by technology, speed, and an ever-accelerating present? Because the deeper we dig, the more we understand.…

Juntos has become a place for community and gatherings and talks as well as food production and its is Finns first role as an architecht straight out of university. Manu campaigns heavily for the one thing that may just save our climate in the Balearics - The Posidonia. Our huge acres of sea grass provide a carbon sink which sucks the nasties out of our atmosphere and absorb and hold them. Protecting them is of paramount importance as you heard in our EP with ambient musician @coco_francavilla. They are the answer to so many issues we face as an island that depends heavily on tourism and Manu runs @vellmari_formentera and every year they replant the beds and try to restore them where possible. In this weeks episode we talk about that process, why we have to educate people to respect the ancient sea beds that are unique to ours seas and we hear much of his incredible storytelling on expeditions that he has been on for National Geographic as an ambassador for @natgeopristineseas and how he became a marine biologist and fell in love with our islands. #podcast #ibiza #manusanfelix #oceanography #oceanphotography #video #videographer #formentera #posidonia #evcology #reset #rebel #resetyourmind #protectourseas #sea #meditteranean #ocean #water #agua #diving…
