Host Lee Sankey talks to the influential American anthropologist, strategist and author Grant McCracken. This is part one of two episodes. Grant is a pioneer in culture as a strategic and driving force in business success. Not organisational or corporate culture but "big C" culture. He has taught at MIT and Harvard and consulted with companies such as Nike, Netflix, Oprah and the White House. Here he explains why culture matters to business, discusses barriers to the broader adoption of culture as a strategic input since writing his book "Chief Culture Officer" in 2009 and some of the things we can start doing to incorporate culture in our thinking.
