36. Building Your Team Without Disappointing Your Clients

It can be extremely tricky to build a team when you are a real estate agent who does business by referral. Client perception and experience is important - you don’t want your clients to feel coldly handed off or disappointed with anyone on your team. AND - your quality of life is important too! Without anyone to back you up in the field or in the office, the 24/7 nature of real estate can be exhausting and eventually lead to burnout.

I am frequently asked how I’ve navigated these challenges and what it boils down to is that I’ve discovered that works best for me is what I call a “micro team”. The Beliveau Group is a lean, mean, well-oiled machine made up of a select group of top tier professionals. Through careful building and quality control, I have grown and maintained a system that works extremely well for me, my team members, and my clients.

One of my Academy Members, Abby Humes joins me to unpack the complexities of this topic. In this episode we cover:

  • How I’ve found and trained strong team members that align with my values and standards
  • How to set expectations in initial client consultations to introduce your support team members and clarify their role in the process

  • My viewpoint on having an abundance mindset when it comes to having team members work with your clients and how that can be a win for everyone instead of a ‘bad thing’
