Denise Aguilera was a beautiful mother of four with a contagious laugh and a lively spirit. She had seven grandchildren that she adored. Dee Dee was a mother, a grandmother, sister, a friend, aunt, and so much more to so many people. Dee Dee was loved. Unfortunately, she became involved in an abusive relationship. Her family and friends tried everything to get her out of the situation. Sadly Dee Dee would become a victim of domestic violence, when she died by suicide on September 20, 2021. Dee Dee was our friend and our sister and the work we do is to honor her. Listen to this story to learn more about how intimate partner violence can affect anyone.
