Simmie moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she and her husband owned an auto repair shop and a movie production company. After inheriting real estate in 2010, they rented out the properties but found traditional property management unprofitable. Determined to find a better solution, Simmie explored various real estate opportunities but found her true calling in providing affordable housing through Group Homes.

Inspired by a friend's suggestion and Group Home Riches resources, Simmie embarked on this new venture. She involved her family in the business, leveraging their unique skills to create a thriving Group Home operation. Within a year, she opened Harbor Halo and enrolled in the Done-For-You program, which provided invaluable support and guidance.

Simmie's ambitious goal is to open 20 Group Homes, and she is well on her way to achieving this milestone. Her journey is a testament to the power of determination, family collaboration, and the right guidance.
