Mr. Po Tran, the visionary founder, and current CEO of Joy Journeys, hails from a family deeply entrenched in Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism industry since the 1990s. Growing up amidst the vibrant De Tham neighborhood, a focal point for international visitors, Mr. Po cultivated a profound appreciation for the intricacies of the tourism sector.
Following his academic pursuits abroad, Mr. Po returned to join the family’s tourism enterprise. Driven by a passion to introduce the world to the warmth, simplicity, and rich tapestry of Vietnamese culture, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey. In 2019, with a vision to create “more than just a trip” for travelers, Joy Journeys was established.
Leveraging his family’s industry experience, Mr. Po launched Joy Journeys in 2019. The company quickly gained traction, conducting an average of two to three tours daily. However, the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 presented unprecedented challenges, necessitating a temporary suspension of operations.
Emerging from this period with renewed determination in 2023, Mr. Po recognized the imperative to differentiate Joy Journeys in the competitive marketplace. Through strategic focus and unwavering dedication, the company achieved significant growth, expanding its capacity to conduct ten to fifteen tours daily during peak seasons.
This milestone underscores Joy Journeys’ commitment to delivering exceptional travel experiences and fostering continuous improvement.
