After moving 15 times through five southern states, Dea Irby, serial entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, and award-winning author, knows the value of belonging and is on a mission to share her message. Many of us underestimate the importance of belonging and its impact in the workplace and our communities. People who feel like they belong, don’t just stay, they take ownership, and raise everyone to a higher level. A former tearoom owner and operator, Dea published a cookbook, A Dollop and A Pinch: Recipes and Stories from The Baron York. She is a realtor, collector of puns, world traveler, and a Lover of Truth. Dea and her husband of 48 years, currently live in Durham, NC, have 8 grown children, and 19 grandchildren. Along with her real estate business, Dea works with leaders to build a culture of belonging through her magnetic leadership strategy called C.L.A.I.M.
