Followers of Christ should offer a sacrifice—but one of praise instead of animals or material goods. Since Jesus' work on our behalf is entirely complete (Hebrews 9:24–26), we cannot add to it (Galatians 3:10–14). Instead, our praise and offerings should come from gratitude, obedience, and worship. The following verse explains this further, reminding believers that doing good deeds for others is a natural and expected part of this joyful outlook.
