Surron the 7th is a rapper and entrepreneur based in Tulsa. One of the original members of the Oilhouse collective, Surron has been active in the Tulsa hip-hop scene for nearly a decade. This month he released a new project called ‘Send Prayers’ which is available for $7 on his website isartaudible.com.
In this episode, Doc and Ali go deep with Surron on his origin story and the evolution of Tulsa culture over the past 10 years. They discuss his vision with his new website and merch launch and why most of his music is not accessible on streaming services. Finally they talk about his participation in Fire in Little Africa; and Surron and Doc comment on their emotions around the discovery of human remains in a mass grave at Oak Lawn cemetery last week.
