We are at roughly the halfway point of the 2024 college football season.
Crazy, I know. What we don't know is who will be making the College Football Playoff at season's end. While the 12-team field seems to be settled (for now...) entering Week 8, we all know that can change with a flip of a hat on Saturday.
While the Big Ten might be the most likely league to crown a 16-0 national champion, who all is actually good in the SEC besides Texas? Someone will emerge, but Alabama and Georgia leave a lot to be desired at the midway point.
Also, is it possible for the ACC and the Big 12 to both get multiple teams into the playoff? It would certainly set in motion the craziest postseason tournament ever.
