Auto-generated transcript:Arabic My brothers and sisters, this issue of Tawbah and Istifar is so important. You know the Hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam in Musnad ibn Ahmad where Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that when a person makes Tawbah and Istifar continuously, when a person does a lot of it, then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala extracts him, solves his problems for him, extracts him from his difficulties. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala solves that person's problems for him and provides him from sources that the person cannot imagine. Now just think about this that our whole life is spent in this world and may Allah have mercy on us, we get worried about this and that and we have this problem and that problem. Alhamdulillah, most of us have problems which later on when you think about them after that time has passed, you know you want to laugh at the things that you used to worry about. Of course I'm not saying that everybody is in the same place, there are people today in the world who are facing difficulties which are literally unprecedented, not in living memory, Mala'a alam. In history of course human beings and human history is full of misery and suffering so there is no shortage of incidents in history but at least in living memory. For example what's happening in Palestine now is something which is absolutely unprecedented. We never saw this before, we never thought we would see it and may Allah have mercy on the people and may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala forgive us. But the cure for that, the solution for difficulties, the solution to get out of difficulties is istighfaratowa. It is to seek repentance, it is to ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to forgive us. And that's the hadith in Musnad ibn Mahfati, the person who frequently seeks forgiveness. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala extracts him from his difficulties, removes his difficulties, solves his problems and provides him from sources that he could not imagine. And this hadith is the literally the tafsir of the ayat of surah talaq where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says that a person who was taqwa, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will remove his difficulties, will solve his problems and he will provide him from sources that he could not imagine. Now who is a Muttakhi? A Muttakhi is a person who considers Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala jallaatilalahu and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's position and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's pleasure as the sole object of his deeds, the sole criterion for all his decision making. Surely when we think about this, see how simple life becomes because if we have just one criterion for all decisions, will Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala be pleased or not? That's all. Now if we have this criterion for all decisions then we cannot possibly go wrong because if you are doing something which pleases Allah then automatically it means that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will make things easy and the world also will be pleased with us. Uhura al-Abdullahi anhu in the hadith in Muslim Sharif narrated from Rasulullah who said he who repents before the sun rises from the west Allah will forgive him. Now this means that when a person commits a sin he goes away from Allah, tauba means to return to Allah, to return to Allah from the sins. When he repents he returns to Allah and desires to be pardoned by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and to get close to Allah. This returning is tauba and when it is said that Allah turns towards him it means that Allah accepts his repentance. When our Prophet says before the sun rises from the west he means before the person dies because that is the as far as we are concerned this is the uh you know we will die before the sun actually comes out from the west. Auto-generated transcript:My brothers and sisters, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has caused us to be Muslim, be raised as Muslims. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has caused us and granted us, inshallah, and we ask Allah to do that. To grant us Yawm al-Arafah, which here in America will be tomorrow, inshallah. And tomorrow, which is the 5th of June 2025, will be the Yawm al-Arafah in America. As per the sighting of the moon, Abdul Hijjah, which was sighted widely. And this day of Arafah on the 5th of June is based on actual physical sighting of the moon. As per the sunnah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. The Yawm al-Arafah, please note the word Arafah refers to the day of Arafah. And when we say Arafat, it refers to the plains of Arafat outside Mecca, where we stand on this day, B meaning the people who have gone for Hajj, they stand on that, in Arafat, the plain of Arafat on that day. So the Yawm al-Arafah is the name given to the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. Please note and understand. This has nothing to do with people standing in the plains of Arafat. This is coincidental. But the day is the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned in the Hadith about the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, that these are the best days of the entire Islamic year. He said, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, in the Hadith mentioned in Musnad Ibn Ahmad, there are no days greater and more beloved. to Allah than these first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. As we know, Daratul Qadr is the pinnacle of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, and therefore it is the best night of the year. Similarly, the day of Arafah is the pinnacle of the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, and thus it is the best day of the entire year. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala also mentioned these days, where He said, wa'l-fajri wa'l-ayyal in Ashr. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala took an oath, by the dawn, Pajr, and He said, the 10 nights, the layal in Ashr. Now the Mufassirin have agreed upon, that this refers to the, these 10 days and those nights, and the only night which is superior to that is Daratul Qadr, and therefore, the dalil of the superiority of these days, is from the Quran, and, from the Hadith, and from the Hadith of Rasulullah . Now, some of the merits of the day of Arafah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala mentioned in Surat Al-Buruj, wa'l-samai zaati al-buruj, wa'l-yaumi al-mau'ud, wa-shahidin wa mashhud, by the sky containing, the Qura'at, the constellations, and by the promised day, and by a witness, and one witnessed. The first three ayat of Surat Al-Buruj. Regarding these ayat, Rasulullah s.a.w. said in the Hadith in Tirmidhi, the promised day is the day of resurrection, the one witnessed is the day of Arafah, and the witness is Friday. The sun does not rise or set upon a day, that is more virtuous than it, meaning, the day of, Arafah. Rasulullah s.a.w. said in the Hadith in Muslim Sharif, that there is no day on which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala frees, more people from the fire, than on the day of Arafah. Indeed, he draws near, and boasts of them to the angels and says, what do these people want? Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala proudly displays, these are my people. Undoubtedly, it would be a wasted opportunity, if we did not, try to be one of those people, who Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala draws close to him, and he forgives. Layatul Qadr is the night when the Quran was first sent down, and the day of Arafah is the day, when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala revealed the ayat of the Quran, where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, high spiritual, the different verses, and temporarily hand down the Quranic Kayn, Allah sabeed to you, the enemies of始رائيل. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala also says, the conditions of Qaeda. He said, ückenbr kun Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala recipe guide the supposedMINISREVT'HABE görd внутри you. made that day a day of Eid, a day of festival. Auto-generated transcript:Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillah. My dear brothers and sisters and elders, we come to the last of the reminders I want to make about these 10 days, and that is the days of Hajj and the day of Arafah. These 10 days are very significant because they also include the days of Hajj. And Allah SWT said about the day of Arafah, which is the day of Hajj when people are standing in Arafah. He said there is no day on which Allah SWT frees more people from the hellfire than on the day of Arafah. Hajj is the pillar of Islam as we know, and which must be performed at the earliest opportunity. Rasulullah SAW warned us against delaying the performance of Hajj, and warned us that delay may result in deprivation and deep regret. Rasulullah SAW is reported to have said, to perform Hajj, which is the first obligation, obligatory for Hajj, as none of you knows what may happen to him. He said, you don't know, maybe you will die before that. Maybe you will not get time after that, do it. So as soon as you have the opportunity, go make Hajj. And this is in Musnad Imam Ahmad, in Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah. And then also in Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah, Nabi SAW said, which means, whoever wants to do Hajj, let him hasten, let him hurry to do so. Hajj reminds us about the virtue of obedience, because it's rituals, are an enactment of the actions of Ibrahim and his family, which Allah SWT declared to become and to be rituals of worship. They did those actions because they needed to. We do them because they did them, in honour of them, and in honour of that Allah SWT forgives our sins. This is the wages of obedience. Allah SWT caused those actions, not just to be remembered, but He made them the rituals, the rituals of Hajj. Abu Hurairah narrated that he heard Rasul saying, whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity or transgression, shall return free from sins as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him. And this is Haib Bukhari, we make this dua for all those people who have gone for Hajj this year, including those who went from here. And we ask Allah SWT to enable us to go next year, InshaAllah, especially those who haven't done Hajj. In the name of Allah, make it your topmost priority. If you are eligible, meaning if you have the money and you have the health, then that has to become the number-one priority for you, InshaAllah. Abdullah bin Umar narrated that Rasul said, the one striving in the cause of Allah, Jihad feeh Sableeelillah, and the one performing Hajj, and the one performing Umrah, these are all the guests of Allah. He called them, and they responded to His call. and he answers their dua. And this is in Ibn Majah. It's a beautiful opportunity to ask Allah SWT for whatever you want, and Allah SWT promised to give it. Hajj is a lesson in life which is worth reflecting on. When the pilgrim puts on, when the hajj puts on his ihram, he is reminded that this will be the way in which he will begin the journey of his eternal life in two pieces of cloth. During hajj, he stands equal to everyone else there, without any sign to distinguish him from anyone else, shorn of all his pomp and splendor, alone as a supplicant. On the plain of Arafah, he stands bareheaded and disheveled with two million others, begging Allah SWT for his mercy and forgiveness. When he does tawaf, he is reminded of Khalilullah Ibrahim AS, our father and the father of the ummah, who built the house to be a place of sanctuary and a place of peace. He is reminded of the blessing which Allah SWT has bestowed upon humankind in the form of this blessed water, which millions of people have drunk through the ages. And Rasulullah SAW said, make a niyah and Allah will accept that dua. He said, zamzam is for whatever it is, drug for. When he does tawaf, between Safa and Marwah, he is reminded of the actions of our mother Haja AS and the mother of Ismail AS, the wife of Khalilullah Ibrahim AS. She didn't sit and wait for the help of Allah SWT...…

Auto-generated transcript:In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah. My dear brothers and sisters and elders, we are in the middle of the best days of the year that Allah has blessed us with. We thank Allah for giving us life, for guiding us to Islam and for allowing us to witness another sacred month, the month of Dhul Hijjah, particularly the first ten days, which are the most virtuous days in the calendar. These days are a divine gift from Allah for our spiritual growth, for our to earn hasanat through acts of worship and the opportunity to earn immense reward. Allah mentioned these days and He said, By the dawn and by the ten nights. When Allah takes an oath by something, it is an indication of its great significance and status. The Mufassireen are agreed upon that and including Ibn Kathir and others, that when Allah said, Layali Nashab, the ten nights, it also refers to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. That these ten nights, Walfajri wa Layali Nashab refers to the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la mentioned night, but it also includes the day of Dhul Hijjah. And we have the supporting dhalil of Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la mentioning with respect to Zakariya, when he said, You will not speak for three days in one place and three nights for another place. So it means that the days and the nights, it means the same thing. Rasulullah , whose words are the truth, further emphasized the importance of these days in several authentic hadiths in Sayyid Bukhari, which are the words of the Prophet . Rasulullah is reported to have said, there are no days in which righteous deeds, good deeds, are more beloved to Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la than these days. They asked him, not even jihad in the path of Allah. He said, not even jihad, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth and does not return, returns with nothing. Rasulullah is telling us that, acts of worship during Dhul Hijjah are not accepted by Allah. The Prophet is reported that the day of judgement is not even jihad in all the paths of Allah. They said, there are less days in which righteous deeds are not accepted by Allah than these days. The Sahaba, Ridhu Allah, Alayhim Ulay, Wain, Wain. They asked him, not even jihad in the path of Allah. worship during these 10 days such as salah fasting charity zikr recitation of quran and so on and more beloved to him than doing the same deeds in any other days that is why rasul sallallahu used to fast all the first nine days of the hijjah and especially the day of gharafat which obviously if you to the fire if you fast the nine days the ninth day is the day of gharafa and he said that fasting on the day of gharafa expiates and wipes out the sins of the past year and the coming year and this is a muslim the day of gharafa or yawal is the name for the ninth of the hijjah just as yamun nahar is the name given to the day of which is the 10th we have been instructed to celebrate it and to fast on it wherever and whenever it occurs in our country of residence we have not been instructed to follow saudi arabia or any other country and if anyone interested i will give you the latest fatwa from the legend of roma of saudi arabia which specifically states this do not follow saudi arabia follow the sighting in your country so we have not been we have asked we have been asked to use that day for our benefit not to create dissonance and division and conflict in the country while notMi6aeidaiwa vyekass aun eye ati I remind myself and you that we must become greedy about accumulating good deeds. Just think of how greedy we are with accumulating wealth. We do not miss any opportunity. We don't care how painful it may be and how hard we may need to work or what other activity or interest we may need to give up. And may Allah help us, we don't even worry about whether it is halal or haram. But we must get wealth, anyhow. If there is an opportunity to make money,…

Auto-generated transcript:I will tell you since you are young boys, I'll tell you a story about another young boy. And about this young boy, the story refers to these days that we are going through. This young boy was his father. He didn't meet his father. His father left him in a particular place just after he was born. And after that, the father came back when he was maybe 10 years old or something like that. And the father was in his 90s. And the father took him for a walk. And as they are walking, the father says to him, I have seen in my dream that I am slaughtering you for Allah. He said, O daughter, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, if Allah wills, of those who are patient. Allah says that Ibrahim, when Ismail was old enough to walk with him, his father said to him, I have seen in my dream that I am slaughtering you. Look, what do you see? And his son says, O my father, do as you have been commanded. And inshallah, you will find me among those who are patient. Right? So the father, he hasn't seen the father. He hasn't seen the father for his whole life, effectively. And the first time he sees his father, this is the conversation. The father says, I have seen in my dream that I am slaughtering you for the sake of Allah. And then his father asks him a very strange question. He says to him, He said, you look, what do you see? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? He says, you look, what do you see? And the answer of the boy, the amazing thing, first of all, if somebody asks you a question, look, what do you see? What is the automatic response to that? What will you say? So look where? If I say look, look where? In my pocket? Behind me? Outside? The boy does not ask. Because he knows what his father is talking about. Imagine somebody who is raised in such a way that such a question does not confuse him, it does not perplex him, it does not get, what's wrong with my dad? He says, do as you have been commanded. Do as you have been commanded. And you will find me, insha'Allah, among the people who have sabr. You know the name of the boy? Yes. Is this Ibrahim's son? Ibrahim's son? Yes. What was his name? Ismail . Ibrahim's son, Ismail . And that was a good recovery, insha'Allah. The point I'm making is that, think about it from another angle. He was a boy. He was a boy like you. He was a boy like you. He was a boy like you. What makes them special? He was a boy like you. He was the product of a single parent. Today we talk about a single parent. There was no father. From the time he was born to the time of this conversation, there was no father involved. Ibrahim was not there. He was raised by his mother alone, Hajar . Single parent. How did she raise him in such a way that, number one, when he sees his father, he respects his father, he has regard for his father, right? And number two, he's already connected with Allah to such an extent that when his father asks him this question, which, if you look at the question, it's a very strange question. He knows what he's talking about. And then he gives him such a beautiful answer. He does not say, you will find me among the sabirin. He says, inshaAllah. He says, inshaAllah. If Allah wills. Because he's talking about slaughter, you can't say, well, you know, I've done this before, I know I can bear the pain. No. He doesn't know. What does it mean to be saying, I will slaughter you? What slaughter? He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. He doesn't know. InshaAllah. It also shows us how, both for Ibrahim and Ismail, the number one important thing, the overwhelming thing, was the will of Allah. Ibrahim never asked Allah , why should I slaughter my son? What would I... After all, you gave me a son. After so many decades of making dua, now I had the little boy.…

To become among the shakireen, the people who are grateful to Allah. You know, if you think about this, today we live in a world where we seem to be surrounded by bad news. In the newspapers, this and that, and all kinds of stuff all over the place. But give it a little bit more thought. Today, if you look at our lifestyle, and I'm not talking about the lifestyles of the high and mighty, the rich and famous. I'm talking about the lifestyles of ordinary people like us. We have lifestyles, and we live in comfort that is superior to the loyalty of the West and the East in medieval times. Far better than the kings and queens lived in Europe, and far better than the kings and queens lived in the East. Europe, I don't even want to talk and compare because their lifestyles are different. But if you look at the lifestyle, it's pretty sad if you look at the parameters. Say, for example, let's take two or three parameters to judge the lifestyle. One, let us take health. You know, these were the days before penicillin, days before antibiotics. It meant that if you got a wound on one of your limbs, which was very, very common for all kinds of reasons, not just wars, but, you know, exercise, practicing with weapons, working in the fields, just playing, anything, right? If you got a wound in one of your limbs, and they had some very brutal ways of dealing with it, with those things, and if it didn't work, if it got infected, which it did, you had a very good chance of losing the limb itself or having to get it amputated. And amputation also, including, for example, treating the wound if it needed to be stitched, amputation, everything. Remember, these are the days before anesthesia. So amputation was that they would grab you, put you on a... table or on some platform, hold you down, and then somebody would either take an axe or a saw and do the job. Not a nice image at all, right? But that was medical treatment. Infant mortality was through the roof. There was not a house in which some child had not died. Many women died in childbirth. And it didn't matter because disease does not differentiate between royalty and nobility and the common folk. The treatment that they had in the West for disease was practically one thing, which is bloodletting. So if you are sick, they opened a vein in your arm or... somewhere and they drained blood, sometimes quite a lot of blood. And they believed that this was something which cured you. It actually killed you because you had now also to deal with loss of blood. In the East, it was slightly better because medical treatment was a little bit more developed, but not particularly more. Food could not be refrigerated. There was no such thing. People used to eat food, which if you eat today, you would die. Because meat would be almost putrefying when they were eating it. And that's why they used a lot of spices to mask the stink of rotting meat. This is as far as food and health is concerned. Again, in the East, it was better. Especially if you were wealthy enough, you managed to get some decent food. But in Europe, it was very awful. There was obviously no heating and cooling and so on and so forth. So in the summer, you got hot. In the winter, you got cold. You froze. In the West, in Europe, they believed that bathing was dangerous to health. So they never bathed. Never bathed. They never brushed their teeth because they didn't know anything about oral hygiene. So by the time a person was about 30 years old,…

And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the prophets and the messengers. Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and may Allah grant him peace, and may Allah grant him much, much peace. And then, my brothers and sisters, we know the ayat of Surah Al-Bahim. Allah, the Exalted, said, Allah, the Exalted, said, Which means, let it be announced that the one who is grateful to Allah, the Exalted, for his blessings, Allah will increase the blessings. And the one who is ungrateful, let him beware that the punishment of Allah, the Exalted, is severe. Before we go further, let us just reflect on this. Allah said, The one who, thanks Allah, Allah will increase the blessings. But the one who is ungrateful, Allah did not say, Allah will punish him. Allah said, let him beware, the punishment is severe. Right? Normally, if you look at the construction of a sentence, it should be, I will give you, I will not give you. I will reward you, I will punish you. But this is the rahmah of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah does not say, I will punish. Allah said, beware, punishment is severe. Meaning, there is always room for us to make izdighfar and tawbah and not reach that point where the punishment becomes wajib. Today, I went to a place called Longmeadow Conservation Area, which is 15 minutes from here, just behind Bay Path University. And I took some photos, I posted them. Whoever is interested, send me a message, I will send you the photos. I saw two families of swans. Absolutely fabulous. Most beautiful two hours that I spent. 15 minutes from here. How many of you never heard of this place? You lived here how many, 30 years, 40 years? Why? Why don't you go out? Why don't? Why don't you go and see the khudrat of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala? What are you doing? Sitting in the house every day from morning till evening, making money to do what? Please, enjoy the mercy of Allah. See how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has blessed us. Today, unfortunately, we live in a world where we hear only negative stuff. This is bad, that is bad, that is bad, that is bad, right? So, let us look at something. Some of the opposite, which is true, which we should really focus on. And I'll just go back to my own childhood and growing up. I'm not going back to ancient history of how it was in ancient Egypt and with the pharaohs and with, you know, kingdoms. No, I can give you all of that as well, but just by... When I was growing up in our house, and alhamdulillah, I didn't come from a poor family. I came from a very wealthy. I came from a very wealthy family and a very noble family. My father was a medical doctor, physician. We lived in a huge house. I was born in a house which had three acres of land around it. But then we moved to my father's house, which had four bedrooms, half an acre of land around it. And this is in Hyderabad. Mango trees, this, that. But no hot and cold running water. I'm not talking ancient history. I'm talking about the 60s, late 50s. No hot and cold running water. Not because we were poor. Not because there was no hot and cold running water. System didn't exist. No air conditioning. And why is air conditioning important? Because right now, as I'm speaking, the temperature in my city in Hyderabad is 120 Fahrenheit. You're always right. The chicken lays an egg, it becomes an omelet straight away. Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? My family, you've met a few children. lt's not. They live in an apartment building or whatever. You took your children. What would you do if she was not with you? She wasn't? You wouldn't even neck her? You wouldn't even? generators. So we had something called the Hawa Daan. How do you translate Hawa Daan into English? It was a box of air. So it was a covered,…

Auto-generated transcript:Alhamdulillah, we're looking at the incident of Ibrahim Alayhi Salaam's life where he left on the command of Allah SWT. He took his wife and their son and left them in the valley of Bakka and turned around and left. And then he made this dua. The first lesson from this incident that we learn is that of prioritizing the command of Allah SWT over any and everything else. To obey Allah SWT in every situation, whether we understand the command or not, whether we like the command or not. This command of Allah SWT to Ibrahim Alayhi Salaam. To take his wife and son, newborn son and leave them in this place. Is neither something that one can understand. And obviously it is not something that one can like. But he did it. Now this comes from a deep and unshakable belief. That what Allah SWT commands comes from a place of love that he has for his creatures. That it is a mark of his continuing and ongoing concern for their well-being. And that what he says is best for us. It comes from acknowledging and accepting the truth that Allah knows and I and we do not know. Allah SWT said, And there's no more شئ مفضلتاتِ عَلِيهِ حَ!!! Or what you add to your knowledge. So Allah SWT says, Andaining Nemseni. And many people express anger-swearing. Likeая شاركت ان امان ايام اشئ اللذي اذا %. What I have been learning is that I know the遺welings that they have and those things they have. I won't name the school, yesterday. And the person who picked me up from my house was a DARE officer. These are retired police officers who are working in this department called DARE, which stands for the people who work against drug addiction. And he's working in the school. This is a middle school. So children of 10 to 12, and from there, you know, maybe say between 10 to 12 to 16 or 10 to 16. So I said, you have cases of addiction? He said, it's not even a question of cases. He said, it's a problem enough for me to have a full-time job here. I mean, I'm not talking about some, you know, sort of, you know, sort of, city or city center school or some school in some sort of badlands. This is a big, very well-known school. And he tells me, we have cases of eight-year-olds vaping, smoking cigarettes and vaping. Please understand, smoking, vaping, all of this is haram in Islam. And when something is haram in Islam, doing it is haram, buying it is haram, selling it is haram, manufacturing it is haram, and there's a reason why it is haram. This is the state of where we are. So if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says something is haram, there is a reason for that. And Allah says, you like something, you like something which is harmful for you. You like something that will put you into trouble in this dunya and akhira. Imagine you have a business doing this. You're buying it, you're selling it, you're raising your children on it. And then you die. And then you stand before Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. And then, what are you going to say? What will you say? Think about this. Think about this because the time will come when you will not be able to think about this. And the reason you will not be able to think about this is because you will be dead. Think about that before this, before that time comes. That is when you will be dead. And this is the reason why I'm telling you this. This is the essence of tawakkul. This is the essence of tawakkul to trust Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. And this is the reason, the basis of Ithbinaal ul Qalb. Peace of mind. A total trust on Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, which results in peace of mind and tranquility of the heart. And this is based on our understanding of His glory and majesty and power. And trust that when we open our hearts, we will be able to see the truth. And when we obey Him, He will protect us and support us. And that He will take care of us. That's why my addiction to nature and nature photography. Because I go out in the world, I take photographs and ask myself, this is my Rabb.…

Auto-generated transcript:Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. My dear respected brothers, sisters, elders. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent his anbiya alayhi salam not only as guides for how to worship him, but as guides to lead our lives in a way that is wholesome, harmonious and beneficial in this life and a means of forgiveness and reward in the life of the Akhirah, inshaAllah. Islam, therefore, is a deen. It's a complete way of life. It's not just a set of rituals of worship. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, having sent this deen, also tests us. Allah said, Ahasiban nasu an yutraku an yakulu amanna wahum la yuftanoon. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, Do people think that if they simply say, whether once they say, we believe, amanna, that they will not be tested, that they will be left alone without being tested? Now, this is a fundamental principle of life. If you say in school and college, for example, if you say that you are ready, you are given a test to go to the next class. In organizations, if you say you are ready, then you are tested before you are given a promotion. And so on and so forth. So, we continuously pass tests after tests. The benefit of passing a test is that it makes you stronger, more confident, because after the test... After the test... After the test... After the test, you know that you have learned something. So, also in deen, with the benefit, additional benefit in deen, that when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tests, he helps the person to succeed. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala promised to test us. In Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, We will definitely test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property and life and crops. Give good news and glad tidings to those who patiently, patiently endure, who, when faced with a disaster, they say, surely to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we belong and to Him we will return. They are the ones who will receive Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's blessings and mercy. And it is they who are rightly guided. Everyone will be tested, but those who turn towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and behave with dignity and patience, they will receive, they will receive Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's reward and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is witness for their faith. Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that nobody was tested more than the Abiyyah alayhimus sallam, than the prophets. And that he sallallahu alaihi wasallam was tested the most among the prophets, which means that he was tested most among all the human beings. Ibrahim alayhi wasallam's life, that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, mentioned in the Quran, was a series of tests. Among the most serious of these tests was when he was commanded by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to take his wife, our mother Hajar alayhi salam, and their newborn baby Ismail, and leave them in the valley of Bakka, later to be called Mecca. Imagine what's happening here. When you go home, look at, go to Google and see a map. Ask for a map from Jerusalem to Bakka. He is in Jerusalem. He started from there. And then, while he's there, and before that, after decades of making dua for a child, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala granted him a son. And this is not any ordinary dua. It's a dua of Khalidullah. Dua of one of the greatest of the Anbiya and Rasul, who was later to be the father of the prophets. His dua took decades. And then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave him a son. And then he gets this command to take his son and his newborn baby, while his mother is still nursing him, and take them to a place that he has never seen before, and leave them there and return to Palestine.…

Auto-generated transcript:In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and upon his family and companions. Peace and blessings be upon you all. My brothers and sisters, the number one requirement, the number one necessity that we have in this life is to be forgiven by Allah. The forgiveness of Allah is the number one thing. If we have everything else but Allah does not forgive us, then that's it. And no matter what sins we have done, if Allah forgives us, alhamdulillah. Now in this, there is good news. And the good news is that Allah promised to forgive. So one is that, say for example, I need money. And I say, well, I have to go and ask somebody. And I know, I have some friends who I know, so and so has money, so and so has money. And I go to them. Will they give me? Will they not give me? I don't know. They have money, but does not mean they will give me. But if there is somebody who tells me, look, anytime you need money, come to me. I will give you. He's telling you beforehand. At the time he's telling me I don't need it. But if you need it, come to me, I will give you. So if I go to somebody who has not told me this, I go with one state of mind. But if I'm going to somebody who said, you come, I will give you. Then there is no uncertainty. He told me to come, I'm coming. So Allah said this to us. Allah said, say to them, Ya Muhammad Ya Ibadiyy, my slaves. Who? Who are the Ibad of Allah? In this ayat Allah is not saying, My Ibadiyy. Ibadiyy allatheena min nabiyyin wa siddiqeen No, Allah is saying, allatheena asrafu ala anfusin People who have transgressed against themselves. People who have committed sins. People who have disobeyed Allah . People who have been indulged in haram. People who have not done what Allah made farth. And so on and so on. Allah said, say to them. What should I say to them? I will punish you. I will burn you. No. لَا تَقْنَتُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ Do not despair of the Rahmah of Allah . At no point don't feel, Oh my God, what's the point of making istighfar? I did so many wrong things. Allah cannot forgive me. This is haram in Islam. This is kufr. To say Allah cannot forgive me is kufr. To say to somebody else, Allah will not forgive you is kufr. Prophet said, there is a man who somebody asked him, some person who committed a lot of sins. He asked this man and the man said, Allah cannot forgive you. Allah said, you are saying what I can and cannot do. So Allah says, I will forgive that man and I will put you in Jahannam. Okay. So never say this. Anybody. Who? Whoever it is. Because forgiveness is for Allah. Only Allah is the one who forgives. لَا يَغْفِرُ ذُنُوبَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ He is not a human being. In our religion, in Islam, we don't go to the Imam and say, please, I made this sin. You know, give me forgiveness. You don't do all this. It is between you and Allah. You commit a sin, you ask Allah to forgive. If you involve somebody else, you ask them to forgive first, then you ask Allah to forgive. So two kinds of sins. One is sins in the Hukukullah. I was supposed to pray, I did not pray. This is baini wa bain Allah. So ask Allah to forgive. Then Hukukul Ibad. I was supposed to give somebody something I did not give him. So first give that. Finish this, then go to Allah. And really Allah forgives all sins. Everything. As long as you make istighfar. Allah will forgive shirk, Allah will forgive kufr, Allah will forgive anything. As long as we make istighfar. If we die with that,…

Fajr Reminders - Mahmood Habib Masjid and Islamic Center

Auto-generated transcript:In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the prophets and messengers. Muhammad and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and upon his family and companions. Peace be upon them all. And after that, my dear brothers and sisters, there is a question that I keep getting asked every once in a while about whether I am willing to, and if I am not willing to, then why I am not willing to, present my lectures in shorter forms. So people ask me, can you, you know, whatever you have been, you are trying to teach, can you do this in five minutes? Or can you do it in, you know, something like this, which is a very short time. And I have always resisted that. I've always said no. Now, I want to address that and try and explain mostly for my friends who ask me this question. I know they're very sincere people. So it's really in honour of their sincerity that I want to that I want to make this even stronger. So, it's not a disclaimer, but it's something that I want to state. And my answer to them is as follows. Which is, take the, as we always say, you know, the best example is the example of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And the best example is the example of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And the example of his, those who followed him in Exodus. So let me give you a couple of examples. Take for example, Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu. Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu used to, he said, somebody asked him, they said, how is it that you have, you have quoted so many hadiths, whereas Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu and others who have, who were and who spent far longer with Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, have not quoted that many hadiths. So Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu, now he's not criticizing Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anhu, but generally speaking, he said that while you people, meaning he's talking to whoever asked that question, he said, while you people were busy in the markets and in earning livings and in doing business, I used to spend that time with Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He said, I used to spend so much time with him Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, that I would not even have time to eat. And there were times when I would fall down and I would faint. I would faint with exhaustion and with hunger. And people thought that I was having an epileptic fit. And they would, those days the sort of cure or antidote to this epileptic fits was that people used to, you used to make them smell leather sandals. So they would hold up, you know, their slippers under his nose. And he said, people didn't realize that the reason I fell down was not because of epilepsy, but because of hunger. And the reason I was so hungry, to the point of starvation, to the point of literally falling down, was because I spent all that time with Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Second example. Imam Qi gur самой Larif was sent by his mother small little kid. So he came and Imam Malik had a system where he would give dars of hadith muwatta between Asr and Maghrib in the courtyard of the masjid and Nabi Muhammad Sharif and then after the Salat of Maghrib Salat, he would give the dars inside the masjid between Maghrib and Nisha. So two sessions, not ten minute beats, two sessions. So the two of them together were a couple of hours. Maybe more than that. The time between Asr and Maghrib in the Hijaz is a long time. And then between Maghrib and Nisha. So these dars he used to give. So now he comes there, he starts the dars and this little kid less than ten years old is sitting right in front at his feet. And as Imam Malik is speaking he notices that this little kid is doodling in the sand with his index finger. So because there was no carpets and stuff. So he would sit on the sand. And this little kid is with his finger, he seems to be doodling, making little patterns.…
