But, what comes next?
This episode is all about empowering you to take on one of the main influencers of our economy, and therefore the planet – the Finance Sector – through education and activism.
We talk to Vince Knowles and Rathbone Greenbank Investments about the investment industry; University of Bristol Professors Alvin Birdi and Chris Preist about the insurance industry; and XR Money Rebellion about what you can do.
This episode was recorded outside an XR Finance learn in, in Bristol, on Saturday March 7th.
Extinction Rebellion has three demands.
1) Tell the Truth - Government must tell the truth by declaring a climate and ecological emergency, working with other institutions to communicate the urgency for change.
2) Act Now - Government must act now to halt biodiversity loss and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025.
3) Beyond Politics - Government must create and be led by the decision of a Citizens' Assembly on climate and ecological justice.
