Isa.25.1 - O LORD, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them.

Praise Him this evening for all He has done and continues to do in your life

Heb.4.12 - For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

Pray that tonight as the word is taught you're revived and energized! Pray for understanding and wisdom to learn from the teaching that will come from the word tonight.

Reading 1

1Sam.30.1 - Three days later, David and his men arrived back in Ziklag. Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They tore Ziklag to pieces and then burned it down.

1Sam.30.2 - They captured all the women, young and old. They didn't kill anyone, but drove them like a herd of cattle.

1Sam.30.3 - By the time David and his men entered the village, it had been burned to the ground, and their wives, sons, and daughters all taken prisoner.

1Sam.30.4 - David and his men burst out in loud wails--wept and wept until they were exhausted with weeping.

1Sam.30.5 - David's two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail widow of Nabal of Carmel, had been taken prisoner along with the rest.

1Sam.30.6 - And suddenly David was in even worse trouble. There was talk …

Num.27.3 - "Our father died in the wilderness; but he was not in the company of those who gathered together against the LORD, in company with Korah, but he died in his own sin; and he had no sons.

Num.27.4 - Why should the name of our father be removed from among his family because he had no son? Give us a possession among our father's brothers."

Num.27.5 - So Moses brought their case before the LORD.

Num.27.6 - And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

Num.27.7 - "The daughters of Zelophehad speak what is right; you shall surely give them a possession of inheritance among their father's brothers, and cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.

Num.27.8 - And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: "If a man dies and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.

Num.27.11 - And if his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to the relative closest to him in his family, and he shall possess it."' And it shall be to the children of Israel a statute of judgment, just as the LORD commanded Moses.
