In this message, Pastor Joe Baker brings down the idea of Deconstructing and what is the healthy way to ask questions.

Ephesians 4:11-15

11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ...

So what is deconstruction? Roughly speaking, deconstruction is the dismantling of anything that's been constructed.

Theological deconstruction: is the process of dismantling one's accepted beliefs.

Matthew 28:16-20: 16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

In John 14:15 Jesus says: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

Hebrews 13::17 “Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account...”
