One of the main questions we receive as players are in their in-season work is – What type of strength and power training should we do as players during the season? To answer this question we are joined by Travis Manners, the owner and co-founder of Athletes’ Training Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Travis is a physical therapist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and dives deep into the following topics:
- Is it possible to develop speed, strength and power during the season?
- How often and when should players strength train during the season?
- What types of lifts / exercises should players be doing?
- What are some strategies for pre-game and post-game that players could benefit from?
