We hiked out to Delicate Arch in the late afternoon, catching the light just right as it stretched across the rock. The trail was steady, quiet, and gave us space to take it all in. Back at camp, we settled around the fire—tired, dusty, and content. A backpack baby in tow added a layer of adventure and some good laughs. No rush, no big agenda—just a solid day in the Utah canyons of Arches National Park.…
In Part 2 of our cross-country trek, we face the wild swings of the Midwest—from torrential downpours in Indiana to the eerie dryness of Kansas’s disappearing lakes. But the real adventure? Navigating it all with a toddler in tow. Between soaked car seats, snack emergencies, and midnight meltdowns, we push through exhaustion and setbacks, chasing the Colorado sunrise with a whole lot of coffee. It’s messy, honest, and full of unexpected beauty—welcome to the road trip of real life.…
Here’s a quick update on our cross-country trip so far. We’ve made it through Ohio and Indiana with a toddler in the backseat and our converted utility trailer with a rooftop tent in tow. A few wrong turns, some long days, but we’re rolling along and figuring it out as we go. Stay tuned—Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado are up next.…

Got together with a close friend of mine to record this episode on a beautiful thanksgiving weekend. John Kidd has made a big impact on me with his story and I know it will impact a lot of people out there. John is a carpenter, farmer, entrepreneur, and most importantly a believer in Christ. Like many of us before we became believers in Jesus Christ we had a past. I am thankful for Johns' willingness to get vulnerable with his past, in hopes that it will reach someone else who needs to hear it. While he humbly admits like all of us, that his story is still being written. He knows God can use him in the present as he continues to learn and grow.…
Buying a house, remodeling, living with parents, learning how to be married, and how to serve God at the very top of the never ending list. The balance of it all can be exhausting, and we definitely don't have it figured out but we've been having fun learning. Here is a long awaited start to Season Two of ChewCreek Podcast thank you for listening! ______________________________________ Intro & Outro Music is by Thomas Reilly and Steven Irving, we hope you enjoy a new sound for Season Two! Lyrics to their song are below. ______________________________________ RESTORATION by Thomas Reilly and Steven Irving The sun it knows it's place Warmin my skin in the day The moon it steals from its rays At night to light the way At night to light the way The same it goes for the wind It blows and I breath it in Stops just to begin again Unseen but known like my sin Unseen but known like my sin. Watch the rain fall from the sky Means the world is working right Just like a baby's cry It's a signal for new life A signal for new life. That goal being healthy sexuality, which in turn has made our marriages much stronger and will continue to do so. Tom is open and vulnerable in this podcast as he talks about how his addiction to sex, and pornography effected his marriage for many years. Until one day it all came out..... give it a listen, I personally took away a lot and all my conversations with Tom have been encouraging. Thank you Tom and "Come to The Table Ministries" for being willing to come on the podcast and share your testimony!…
Live from the Wood Shop Episode 18, this episode was a good one to record and listen back to with @brandon_larson. In this episode you'll hear all about their decision to move in, and now out of a 5th wheel into a townhouse. We talk about how close it brought them as a family, and why they decided to move out. We also talked about the overwhelming, kind of unspoken pressure that life can throw at you to make huge life altering decisions. Things like finding a job, being a spiritual leader for your family, ministry, military, college, following God's callings on your life. All of this can, and will be extremely overwhelming. But how we handle it is what matters. This is why @brandon_larson1 wanted to record this months episode. It was a real down to earth conversation about finding peace in Jesus Christ without having all the answers. Thanks for listening and we hope you enjoy!…
Do you ever feel drained in your job? What is your job? Are you an electrician, welder, full time ministry, military, whatever it may be Jonny Miller and I talked about the reality of having NO ENERGY!ChewCreek Podcast Ep. 17 Part Two we get into the real meat, it's all about Energy Management. Definitely a thing that I still struggle with daily but getting my mind in the right place every morning is life changing. And Jonny and I talk about what that means. Thanks for listening!…
Jonny Miller has been a brother in Christ to me for a long time, so I was excited to sit down and record this. For now we hope you enjoy this episode of ChewCreek Podcast.…
It is finally the end of the ChewCreek Podcast hiatus and we are pumped to welcome a new Team Member. He works at the church that I also work at, but falls under the production side at the church and is the Journey Production Manager for the church. Adam St. Clair has already been a huge blessing with his passion for production and We have been praying for a while for wisdom on who would be able to help me get the editing and production side of the podcast done and I can't think of a better person to do it. He edited and produced this as his first episode and I have to say it went very well. This anniversary episode obviously has a special place in my heart, and it is our first year of marriage. We definitely don't know even close to everything about marriage but we picked up on a lot even in one year. I know this episode can go a long way with newly engaged couples or couples talking about getting married. We are very excited to see what ways that God will use it, thank you so much for listening and don't be afraid to drop an email in our box for questions or encouragement for the team. They go a long way with us at Chewcreek@gmail.com…
This months episode is a very vulnerable topic for both Zack and I. But we know it’s something that most men are scared to talk about. That needs to change, in this months episode we had a conversation on the topic of pornography, lust, and sexual addictions. Don’t let the shame of this addiction stop you from talking about it. There is a way better life that Jesus is just waiting, and wanting for you to live. Now listen, reflect, and grow with us on this episode of the ChewCreek Podcast. Part Two with Darien and Kelly was beyond encouraging. A very real conversation with Darien and Kelly about getting married young, what lead to that, and a faith from a different perspective. A cool part of this conversation was the big question we answered: How do we know when talking to others about their faith if they are talking about our REAL God or making up a FALSE God? Sometimes the most important part of our conversations with others are hidden in the nuances. In part one of this episode we get the opportunity to dig into the mormon faith, as well as other non-biblical faiths. In this we gain a better understanding of how important it is to pay attention to the little details. Thanks for listening and I pray this episode challenges a lot of people. ————————————————————————— ChewCreek Podcast is a production of ChewCreek Ministries Theme song in this episode is by Roman Candle (http://romancandlemusic.com)…
Many times in my life I have tried to make the Bible become a science book. This was wrong and something that doesn’t need to be done. God wanted there to be things unexplained for us to be able to learn and find out. In this episode with Jason Stagno who is currently working for the National Institutes of Health. We go into detail about why the Bible is still the most profound set of texts in the world today. Acoustic Music in this episode is played and edited by me.…
Sat down with a close brother and life mentor of mine Leo Almony. Always such a grounding time for me when I get to talk to this brother in christ. His wisdom and knowledge through the lord truly shows in this episode. Now listen, reflect, and grow with us!
It was awesome sitting down recording this weeks episode with Justin live from Honduras. Learning about why he moved there at age 18, how COVID is affecting Honduras, and what God looks like in a different country. I think we can all learn from this one, but also just have a laugh together! Now listen, reflect, and grow with us!…
Wanting to learn more about why we are on this planet is important. All of the things around us need to be taken into account when talking about our reason for living. My sister Sarah and I ponder some big topics this week on the podcast and we want every one to have that urge to learn more with us! God reveals himself in three big ways: through his word, through creation, and through his son Jesus Christ. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Episode Links: •https://youtu.be/h3yOkG6z228 •https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/passion-city-church-dc-podcast/id1406150278?i=1000449272512…
This weeks episode was a true joy, bringing some real light to everything going on in the world right now. I had been trying not to talk about the “C word” (COVID - 19) on the podcast because everyone already hears so much about it. But this week I realized this is something that needs attention, and I want the listeners to know how we are handling this pandemic. Enjoy this episode on your commute to getting coffee from your kitchen, and going back to bed because we want everyone to stay home and stay healthy!…
Awesome time sitting around the fire with my dad, sharing childhood memories, talking about life, and forgetting about worldly problems. So drift away from all the crazy in the world right now, and sit around a fire with us on this episode of the ChewCreek Podcast! Now listen, reflect, & grow with us!…
In episode five of the ChewCreek Podcast, we talk about Charissa’s childhood in Angola, and how that has impacted her life. Then we transition into the main topic at hand, which is being “equally yoked” in relationships. Now listen, reflect, & grow with us! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Episode Links: • https://www.gotquestions.org/unequally-yoked.html…
Episode four was one for the books; Matt and Holly are two of the most honest and wise people I know. This conversation made a huge impact on many things in my life. And a big portion of this episode was about them feeling called to Army Chaplaincy and the struggles that came along with this calling. I am truly looking forward to others being able to hear this conversation. And my hope is that it impacts you in the same way that it changed my thinking. Now listen, reflect, and grow with us.…
This episode is definitely a special one. We go from talking about God from an already believers perspective, then we transition into some deeper thoughts that maybe even non-believers are having. Now listen, reflect, & grow with us.
I am more than excited for ChewCreek listeners to hear this one. It was an honor to have my good friend Jacob on the podcast! Tune in now, to hear how he found God after going through an all time low in his life. Now listen, reflect, & grow with us. [Episode Links— https://www.gotquestions.org/biblical-worldview.html]…
