Susan Epstein is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) as well as a business coach and strategist. She works with coaches, therapists, and healers to fill their practices and helps them leverage their time through groups and masterminds. After finishing school to become an LCSW, Susan spent several years building a psychotherapy practice. Over time, she started running groups and clubs and eventually discovered coaching. Susan got certified and began building her business, including creating a landing page, an email list, and writing a book. She began attracting others who wanted to build their own businesses, and in 2017, Susan let go of everything but her business coaching practice, which is now thriving.
Susan shares her recommendations for those thinking about starting their own business. We discuss the differences between a group coaching program and a mastermind and how to decide which one to run. We also talk about the advantages of group coaching over one-on-one sessions. Enlisting the help of a business coach is also a great way to get support while you’re figuring things out. Susan also shares tips on how to form your first group, what a typical group coaching program looks like, and how to overcome typical coaching challenges.
