The adventure begins mid-mission. But none of the characters have any clue of where they are, how they got there, or what they can do, let alone what they are actually supposed to do. Just as they start to make some head-way, gaining vital info and an objective, one character makes a poor choice and things are bound to get ugly. To be fair, this player did say they were doing to mess things up in the previous episode.
