Penn State roars into South Beach to take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. These two blue bloods meet for the first time in the college football playoffs and with it they bring all the history and tradition with them. What does Penn State have to do to top the Irish? Will the Irish defense stop the Penn State ground game? Will Abdul Carter take to the field? Is Penn State the best offense Notre Dame has seen all season? What does Drew Allar have to do to secure a PSU victory? How does Penn State attack the great Notre Dame secondary? These are questions, we have your answers. Speaking of the pageantry and history of these storied programs, Craig Fayak, joins the show to talk about the 1990 upset by the Lions when they took down #1 Notre Dame in South Bend. As I said it's Penn State - Notre Dame and as always Rudy was offsides!!! Kidding of course!…

Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl is like a perfect marriage. The Nittany Lions are 7-0 including a National Championship victory in 1987. The Broncos of Boise State love the desert oasis as well boasting a 3-0 record. Something has to give in this game. Our final Fiesta Bowl preview we go to the voice of the Boise State, award winning Bob Behler, to find out the finest details of the Broncos. Can Boise State win without Ashton Jeanty going for 150 yards? Can Maddux Madsen throw the Broncos to a win? How good is the BSU offensive line? What makes the Boise State program successful year after year even with head coaching turnover? We asked Bob and he has the answers on this edition of the BlueWhite Tailgate Pawcast. Email the show at BlueWhiteTailgatePawcast@gmail.com…

Welcome to the dance, the show, the CFP, Nittany Lions fans. As the Blue and White made their first appearance into the college football playoff, Penn State showed they are one of the top teams in the country. So too did the fans as they provided the largest, albeit freezing crowd, for a CFP game. After a slow start, the defense put Penn State on the board not once but twice. With the SMU offense on ice, Penn State jumped out to a 28-0 lead and cruised to victory. Was the performance by Kobe King, Tony Rojas, Dom De Luca, and Abdul Carter the most impactful for a group of linebackers since the '87 Fiesta Bowl? The guys debate that argument. Has the OL with Nolan Rucci finally become the road graders that the Penn State faithful have been waiting for? How do the guys see the game versus Boise State playing out? With the first round of the CFP in the books, Frank, Mike and Andrew debate some arguments around the selection committee's seeding and who was left out. See you in Miami on January 9th.…

It's been a long wait but playoff time has finally arrived for Penn State Nation. The Nittany Lions are set to host possibly the coldest game ever at Beaver Stadium when SMU gallops into the town. The Mustangs bring a wealth of athleticism to the table and will be looking to pull off the upset to advance to the Fiesta Bowl. The guys break down how Penn State will use their athleticism and physicality to corral the ponies in their own ranch. The transfer portal is a hot topic and of course Penn State is right in the middle of it, as backup QB Beau Pribula has entered the portal and will not be with the Nittany Lions. through the CFP. The KGB gang debate the merits of entering the portal, if it should be changed and who is to blame for this dysfunction in college football. They also talk about what effect Pribula's departure will have on the. PSU play calling. 1-0…

As Penn State readies for Maryland and another edition of ready made turtle soup the KGB gang discusses the college football playoff rankings. We hit on the growth of Drew Allar as he continues to make plays when they are needed. Talk about James Franklin being given the credit he is due as the Lions seem to take a step forward every single week. The highlight of the show, former legendary bad ass linebacker Trey Bauer stops by and talks everything from Abdul Carter and modern day linebackers, to NIL, and advice he gives to young players and coaches around the program. Now of course we have to flash it back to 1985 when Bauer recovered a fumble against Maryland to secure a victory and what made the 1985 and 1986 teams so good. As always Bauer provides must listen to soundbites.…

Penn State took care of Purdue rather easily as expected, are the Lions just now rounding into form? Former Penn State Strength and Conditioning coach Dwight Galt III drops by to talk about the program. Why and how Penn State continues to develop guys at a high level? Who is most freakish athlete he has seen in the weight room and what challenges does an extended season present in keeping guys healthy? Kalista has a problem with officials and consistency on calls and also the way the CFP committee looks to be seeding the bracket.…

Penn State bounced back in a big way against Washington. Not only did the Blue & White get better at "football" they dominated in areas that they have struggled before. Offensive Coordinator Andy Kotelnicki went back to what has worked all season, Beau Pribula & Tyler Warren. Speaking of Warren, he tells us the role former TE Mike Gesicki played in him committing to Penn State. Should the talented TE be getting Heisman hype? Not to be outdone Penn State's defense played a solid game at all three levels. We hear from Kobe King and A.J. Harris about tough conversations that took place after the Ohio State loss. What a game. What a win for Penn State. Make no mistake this victory was a must win for Penn State in terms of perception on the national stage. Was it pretty, no it was not but style points doesn't matter for this one. What does it mean going forward Mike and Frank discuss that here.
