Call or email Todd Ishee demanding installation of air conditioning continue in North Carolina Prisons and to end Solitary confinement practices. Solitary has been proven to damage the brain also to implement Task Force Recommendation 109 recommends NCDPS:
• Review procedural due process protections provided to individuals accused of disciplinary offenses and create tracking system to monitor decisions by individual disciplinary hearing officers to monitor for biases.
• Review use of A-99 & B-99 disciplinary offenses related to "conspiracy," "attempt," and "aiding" as defined in NCDPS' Policy Chapter B, 0200 - Offender Disciplinary Procedures.
• Review how information from confidential informants is used in disciplinary proceedings.
• Review and modify the process for identifying individual's status for Security Risk
Groups (SRGs) so that it helps people de-affiliate from gangs and makes Security Threat
Group Management Units more accessible throughout NCDPS facilities.
