For the final episode of season 1, we keep it all in the family and talk between us about 1992's Wayne's World! Unsurprisingly, we mostly talk about Tia Carrere but we also find time to discuss the almost infinite amount of quotable lines in this film, hearing Jimi Hendrix for the first time on this soundtrack, and we work out which one of us is the Wayne and which one is the Garth.…
We talk to Shawna Potter, author of Making Spaces Safer and front-person with War on Women, about John Waters' 1990 movie Cry-Baby. We discuss (among many other things), John Waters' foray into major studio filmmaking, the radical self-possession and sexuality of Hatchet-Face and the weird, sexy genius of the song 'Please, Mr. Jailer'. War on Women are on tour across America this fall with Bad Religion and Alkaline Trio! Tickets are available now.
