In this inaugural episode of the Attorney Marketing Profits Podcast, our host Richard Martindale shares his story, which includes 23 years as an attorney and 10 years as a marketing professional, and how his journey fed his desire to help other attorneys and law firms with their marketing. Richard first dreamed of being an attorney when he was in junior high school, and he got started on his journey by enrolling in college after high school. However, losing his father when Richard was 20-years-old nearly derailed this dream. Richard powered through this early tragedy and graduated law school several years later. He then achieved his dream by landing a job as prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney’s office in Houston, Texas. Richard eventually transitioned into private practice, but it wasn’t all he dreamed it would be. Richard decided to start his own law firm in 2008, but he quickly realized he would need to improve his firm’s marketing to achieve more success. Richard began researching marketing and completely fell in love with it. This led him to create his own marketing firm, Clockwork Digital Marketing. Richard gives complete detail of how he achieved what he has, including the lessons he learned in Clockwork’s early days and how those lessons led to proven legal marketing strategies. Richard shares what he has found to be the best legal marketing plan along with a story that proves just how successful it can be.
