Music, stories, and more! You’re listening to Artbeat Radio, a program of Able ARTS Work.
Chad Godfrey had always loved chilly Philadelphia with its obnoxious, open oceans. It was a place where he felt angry.
He was an incredible, snotty, beer drinking purple jellyfish with dirty and fragile fins. His friends saw him as a gentle, gloopy gamer. Once, he had even helped a forgotten old royal blue tang recover from a horrible fishing accident. That's the sort of jellyfish he was.
Chad swam over to his apartment window and reflected on his sunny surroundings. The clouds danced on the surface of the water like drunken sunfish.
Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Elizabeth Walker. Elizabeth was a clownfish, and a helpful gamer with curvy greasy fins.
Chad gulped. He was not prepared for Elizabeth.
As Chad swam outside and Elizabeth came closer, he could see the repulsive glint in her eyes.
Elizabeth glared with all the wrath of 9853 clever Japanese spider crab. She said, in hushed tones, "I hate you."
Chad looked back, even more barmy, and he said, "Elizabeth, I just don't need you in my life anymore,"
They looked at each other with sad feelings, like two fat, fresh frogs singing at a very smelly wake that had orchestral music playing in the background and two uncles cooking violently to a sick beat.
Chad regarded Elizabeth's curvy and greasy fins. "I feel the same way!" revealed Chad with a delighted grin.
Elizabeth looked happy, her emotions showing loud and clear. Elizabeth and Chad went back inside and made herself a nice glass of wine together.
