Christine Chambers, PhD, RPsych, joins us to discuss her career trajectory, making your research meaningful and accessible to the public, multiple role management and delegation, doing good work, and so much more!
Dr. Christine Chambers is a Clinical Psychologist, Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Children’s Pain, and a Killam Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychology & Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. She is the Scientific Director of a national knowledge mobilization network, Solutions for Kids in Pain (SKIP). Headquartered at Dalhousie, SKIP’s mission is to improve children's pain management by mobilizing evidence-based solutions through coordination and collaboration. She is also the incoming scientific director of the Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH) at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Dr. Chambers’ research is based in the Centre for Pediatric Pain Research at the IWK Health Centre and is aimed at improving the assessment and management of children’s pain. She has published over 150 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals and was identified as one of the top 10 most productive women clinical psychology professors in Canada.
