In our second installment of the Small Business Starter Kit series - we’re tackling a topic that’s sometimes tricky, sometimes confusing, but ever-present: taxes. Hosts Austin and Jannese have an insightful conversation with entrepreneur Isabella Rosal who started 7th Sky Ventures , an exporter and distributor of craft spirits, beer, and wine. Having lived and worked in two different countries and started a company in a heavily-regulated field, Isabella is no stranger to navigating the paperwork-laden and jargon-infused maze of properly understanding taxes for a newly formed small business. Leaving your comfort zone has to be one of the scariest things we are faced with. When we are actually in the scenario it can feel like our entire world is crashing or we will give ourselves every excuse in the book to not move forward with it because of fear. But little do we know, that on the other side of that fear is a great reward. Maybe we meet a part of ourselves we didn't even know existed, or we get into a new relationship or perhaps even a new career. The opportunities are endless when we decided to leave the nest and take flight.…
I think when people hear the words "secret to success" their mind starts to go to some magical place of delusion. From my experience my greatest secret to success and when I say success I'm referring to my happiness, peace, relationships, business and just overall wellbeing in my life has been consistency. This is a topic I wanted to shed light on because I see so many people seeking shortcuts. For a good portion of my life when I heard someone tell me I needed to be consistent or give me some generic cliche abut success id say something along the lines of "yeah yeah I know." But i wouldn't actually ever do it. I would say that I understood what they meant, but i wouldn't apply it in my life. There is a great quote and its one of my favorites and it goes like this, "to know and not to do is not know." So if you "know" something but are not applying it, you actually do not know it. If you did you would implement it. So when we hear about these principles reflect in your life to see if you understand it. I hope you enjoy this episode.…
This episode is focused around fearlessness. Moe and I get deep on how taking "risk" throughout our journeys thus far has paid off in big ways. Moe is a successful entrepreneur whose mission is to eradicate heart disease, he owns a business focused around helping young professionals get in shape. This specific episode is great for anyone who is looking for that next step in their life but might not know exactly what to do. Both Moe and I provide real-life examples of what we did in those uncertain times in our lives. I share very vulnerable stories about my first few years of being an entrepreneur and how belief carried me through the hardest of times. A lot of people have asked me how I met Logan Paul and I share my crazy experience of my first day meeting him and how he nearly died...but most importantly the lesson that came with it.…
Throughout my life, I've always gone above and beyond in almost every job I ever had. Stepping into the mindset of "I own this company," changed the way I looked at myself in these jobs. It gave me purpose, and it gave me a reason to do more than I was being paid for. There's an old principle that says, "Do you more than youre paid and then eventually you will be paid more than you do." In my life now more than ever has that philosophy became a reality. Analyze your behavior and ask yourself, am I doing more than I am paid for or am I doing the bare minimum?…
A life by design is about depth. We go deep into our current truths and the depth of life. I hate surface and I truly believe most people don't live the life of their dreams because they're running away from the depths of life. But the depths in my opinion, is were the fulfillment comes in, where you can explore the beautiful adventures life has to offer. In this episode Akil and I go over some of our bigger wins in life and how they manifested. Akil shares how a trip to Thailand completely shifted his perception on life, hustling his way into working directly with Eric Thomas, the power of overcoming negative mindsets, and believing in the unknown. Get ready for a deep dive that just might give you the wisdom you need to take the next step in your life.…
