We are lied to and told that our purpose is found in feeling significant or having goals that help us contribute to something greater than ourselves. But the truth is, or at least I think it is, that our purpose is simply to walk with God, to commune with Him, to fellowship with Him intimately. I've been weighed down by what I thought was loneliness recently, but I'm a woman much acquainted with feeling lonely, and I knew what I was feeling was heavier than feeling disconnected from people. As I asked God to meet me in that place of heaviness, He showed me that it wasn't that I was lonely, it was that I didn't feel like I had purpose. He showed me that my idea of what my purpose was had been distorted. Take a listen, I hope you find a nugget to chew on as you go about your purposeful day today.…

If we listen to the experts without considering God's Spirit, we will set unhealthy boundaries more often than healthy ones. His ways are higher than ours, and although we do have to guard our hearts, set healthy boundaries, and pay attention to red flags, sometimes God is asking us to invest without a return and to trust Him to protect us and fill us up without our needs being met from other people. We need His still small voice whispering, "This is the way, walk in it," because if we don't listen, we will do what is smart instead of what is Spirit led, and the richest reward is when we are Spirit led.…

In this episode, we explore the power of mindfulness and how it can benefit Christians. We discuss the common misconceptions Christians may have about mindfulness and why it's important to practice being present. We are constantly multitasking, juggling multiple responsibilities, and trying to keep up with the demands of our work and personal lives. When it feels chaotic, it's easy to lose sight of the present moment and the simple pleasures of life. When we reject the practice of mindfulness, we are rejecting God’s invitation to be fully present, to experience more relational intimacy, and to allow us to be productive all of our responsibilities while still living in a place of peace and rest. In this episode, we explore the powerful concept of being God's child and all the love, forgiveness, and grace that comes with it. Building on yesterday's 5-minute meditation on our identity in Christ, we dive deeper into what it means to truly recognize and accept our status as beloved children of God. Through a series of journal prompts, we explore questions such as "How do I feel knowing that I am God's child?" and "Do I actually believe that I am loved?" These prompts allow us to reflect on our emotions, examine our beliefs, and let go of any past mistakes or wrongdoings that we may still be holding onto. As we conclude the journal prompts, we are reminded that we are loved, forgiven, and extended grace, no matter what we do or don't do. This episode is a powerful reminder of the unshakeable love of God and how we can fully embrace it in our daily lives. JOURNAL QUESTIONS How do I feel knowing that I am God's child and that I am loved, forgiven, and extended grace? Do I actually believe that I am loved? Have I accepted forgiveness? What about grace? Do I believe that there is nothing I can do to make God love me more, and that there is nothing I can do to make God love me less? How does this journal prompt make me feel about my daily life and the way I treat myself? Remember to take a deep breath and reflect on each question before moving on to the next one. And always remember that you are loved, forgiven, and extended grace as a child of God. Want to follow me in other places?
