A few years back, Netflix adapted her book, High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America , into a 4 part docuseries. A listener asks about not getting great results, maybe lack luster motivation.....but the real lesson comes from what they are doing outside of the gym, and the intensity at which their training is being attacked. My advice is simple, do CrossFit the way it was designed to be done, first and foremost prioritizing nutrition! Then reducing fluff volume and attacking daily programming headlong. After doing this for sometime, then playing with accessories if good stuff doesn't follow then you may not being folowing great programming or being coached well. Results should be a part of all of our training, an expectation and a biproduct of our hardwork. First question yourself, your nutrition, your focus on training and your lifestyle choices, when those are dialed then question the program. Today Adrian discusses his thoughts on the qualifier that just finished up last weekend. Was it thorough enough? What did he like about the 5 workouts, what he didn't like about the 5 workouts and everything in between. From a general perspective the opinion is, No. The test overall was not thorough enough to allow only 40 athletes to qualify between the Elite and RX categories. Had this been the first stage of a multi level qualification process then it was awesome. Great workouts to thing the herd, but in Coach Conway's opinion, it was not a complete test to separate the caliber of athletes whom will grace the competition floor/ stages in Miami this January.…
