In today's episode, Joey joined the Knights of Columbus organization in Clearwater at Light of Christ Church. This volunteer group will talk about a car show they will be hosting at St. Catherine of Siena Church on Saturday November 4, 2023 from 10:00 am - 2:30 pm. The car show is a competition with 150 cars on display. Money raised at the car show will go to Kimbely Home, which is a charity helping mom's and babies in our community. Kimberly home is a place of hope for mom's having babies, transitional housing and day care. The group in today's episode will discuss the challenges and enjoyment they feel in planning and running this event. This includes raising money from donations to pay for the event. Parking many cars as they arrive. Cooking and serving food and drinks. Selling tickets and t-shirts. The event is lots of fun and outdoors. Hundreds of people come each year. It is very handicapped accessible. We also have many visitors with intellectual disabilities. After the event the group organizes a parade of cars down the streets to visit veteran's nursing homes.
