X-K FM or !Xunkhwesa Dom Kxui FM took to the airwaves on the 18th of August 2020. The first broadcast was aired from a stationery container at Schmidtsdrift. More than 4000 families of the Xun and Khwe communities, were settled at Schmidtsdrift by the South African Defence Force after Namibia gained independence in 1990.
