Revolutionaries, this episode right here? It’s not just a celebration of 8 years of the What’s Your Revolution? Show—it’s a masterclass in energy, excellence, and evolution. I had the honor of sitting down with Dr. Daphne Watkins, a powerhouse scholar, executive coach, founder, and truth-teller who has spent the last two decades centering the mental health and well-being of Black men and boys. From the jump, Daphne and I clicked, reflecting on the grind behind podcasting, the beauty of AI when used with purpose, and the deep work it takes to really know yourself. And that became the heartbeat of our convo: self-awareness is the cheat code. Not just for leadership, but for life. We talk about the moment you realize your relationships—whether personal or professional—are rooted in unhealed trauma. We explore what it means to pivot when you’ve evolved past your surroundings, and how hard, yet necessary, it is to release people who no longer align with your growth. Daphne reminds us that doing the internal work isn't just about healing; it’s about becoming the most powerful version of yourself so you can serve others without losing you. We get into her life’s work—amplifying Black men’s voices, disrupting harmful narratives about masculinity, and building systems that honor our brilliance instead of trying to fix what was never broken. And fellas, she keeps it all the way real: you can’t lead, love, or liberate if you haven’t first taken care of yourself. This episode is a mirror, a moment, and a movement. It's for my brothers who are tired of performing and ready to transform. For the men who are still figuring it out but know there’s something greater inside them. And for everyone who believes that Black men can be both soft and strong, healed and still healing, powerful and at peace. We’re 8 years in, and I’m just getting started. Let’s keep evolving—together. So I’ll ask you again, What’s Your Revolution?…

On this impactful episode, I had the honor of connecting with Dr. Nekeshia Hammond, psychologist, executive coach, international speaker, and author of the powerful new book, Mindset Training: Conquer Your Mind and the Rest Will Follow. We delved into the critical topic of burnout—that persistent feeling of exhaustion, stress, and imbalance that affects our performance at work, relationships at home, and overall well-being. She provided clear, practical advice on incorporating daily moments of intentional breathing, spiritual grounding, and the importance of establishing firm personal boundaries. Revolutionaries, this one hit different. I sat down with my brother Ty Smith, and what unfolded was not just a conversation—but a masterclass in curiosity, presence, and rethinking what we’ve been taught to value. Ty, an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Bowie State and a brilliant connector in the innovation space, is someone who’s spent his life asking better questions—and encouraging us to do the same. We talked about the unexpected blessings that come with transition—Ty recently parted ways with his role at the Common Mission Project—and how he’s using this time to take care of his aging parents and redefine his purpose now that he’s an empty-Nester. At 57, he’s leaning into this next season with clarity, intention, and a deep desire to spend time on what matters most. Sound familiar? We dove into the difference between brainstorming and question storming—a practice that opens up our thinking and forces us to interrogate the assumptions behind our goals. Ty said it best: “Certainty is overrated. Revolutionaries attack certainty.” That line sat in my chest. When we cling too hard to what’s comfortable, we kill our ability to learn, to evolve, to grow. We also explored the intersection of AI, Black tech, and education—and how we must stop chasing just generational wealth and start focusing on generational impact. Wealth is a pillar, no doubt. But what about our health? Our emotional wellness? Our communities? Our stories? Our policy? If we’re going to build a better future for our kids and grand kids, it’s gotta be holistic. And revolutionary. This episode is for any Black man who’s felt the shift coming. Who’s ready to stop living someone else’s story. Who’s done chasing certainty and instead wants to sit still, ask the right questions, and design a life—and a legacy—that actually pays. As always, I love you. I love you. I love you.…

Revolutionaries, it's time to change the way you see money. This episode is straight-up a masterclass in wealth-building, and I got my guy Jason Brown, founder of The Brown Report, here to break it all the way down. We’re talking about real wealth strategies—not just the “buy and pray” approach they’ve been feeding us for years. Jason walks us through how he took a $10,000 student loan refund check and flipped it into $120,000 by 21 years old. He shares the exact blueprint behind his 5-Year Millionaire method, showing us how anyone—yes, YOU—can get in the stock market game and start making real moves. We’re diving deep into: 🔥 Why most people invest the wrong way (and how to fix it) 🔥 How to use options to multiply your money—even when the market drops 🔥 Why Black men need to shift their money mindset—right now 🔥 How to de-risk your investments and stop playing scared This ain't just about money—it’s about breaking cycles, building generational wealth, and owning our financial future. If you’ve ever said, “I want to build wealth, but I don’t know where to start,” this is your blueprint. It’s time to stop watching from the sidelines. So stop waiting.
