Hi everyone, I'm Ramalho and this is the sixty-fourth edition of the Vørtice Pødcast. Pantano is my guest on this edition. He's a DJ from São Paulo who got a taste for the profession naturally by attending parties in the industry. He has played at some of the most important techno clubs in the country and is now a resident at TechnoPride, a collective that has been on the Brazilian scene for many years. His curiosity for art led him to seek knowledge through research that transited between different genres, and it didn't take long for his interest in techno to emerge. "When I got to know Techno, I was able to adapt my way of researching to electronic music, it became an addiction" Pantano quickly started going to parties and getting involved in the São Paulo scene and before he even knew it, he was already playing. Influenced by names such as Slam, Dax J, Oscar Mulero, DAVE the Drummer and Setaoc Mass, the DJ gained notoriety at night performing at labels such as Techno Route, Hi-Tek-Soul, TechnoPride, Trip, Mind The Gap and We Never Sleep (Fervo). Pantano doesn't like to label his sound, "I play Techno." "I like groove, hypnotic elements, vocals, Kicks, Synthesizers, instrumental music..." Today, the DJ is a resident at the Technopride, a São Paulo collective that has been fostering the BR scene.
