In this episode, New York-based Guy Yair Beider from Ukraine talks about the importance of listening and sound, the three types of sound and breaking myths about sound and music and of course... Himalayan Bowls and Meditation!
Guy is a Master on Himalayan singing bowls, a meditation practitioner and founder of Bells of Bliss. Born and raised in Ukraine, he always had a sense that there is more to life than the ordinary. In young age, he has experienced a clinical death which increased his curiosity about the purpose of life!
Guy comes from a "Rock n Roll" background but always had a love affair and deep friendship with music that has been his refugee during his hard times as a kid. In 2005 he visits New York and decides to stay and his first experience of the singing bowls came right after on an Ayahuasca ceremony.
The singing bowl became a symbol that connected him with his wife by that time, and it was only when he experienced the tragedy of her loss that he decided to go into a search of the sound!
He visited Tibet, Nepal and the Himalayas and he studied the singing bowls deeply at their source.
Today Guy is facilitating Singing Bowl Meditations, treats and heals people with sound, records his new album and shares extensive knowledge about the singing bowls on his project "Bells of Bliss"
Especially for this episode, Guy shares with us a Singing Bowl Meditation track performed by him and released on his first album "Bells of Bliss Layers of Consciousness".
