There’s nothing more personal than working in HR and impacting lives and supporting the career direction of associates. • Little known fact - Kristina used to drive a Harley to work every day! • Open communication in the workplace is needed to combat unconscious bias. Natural human behavior is to be biased, it’s something you have to practice to break. • Kristina has an appreciation for how inclusive Humana strives to be – can see progress in the number of women and people of color in leadership roles • You can self-identify as a Veteran through Workday • Kristina loves hosting career cultivation booths – she enjoys having personal 1x1 conversations with associates around their development • In addition to having a back to school program, Humana also has a debt-free associates degree program • Kristina’s team starts each meetings with icebreakers to help them understand each other on a personal level • She recommends the culture workshop as a way to identify different aspects of yourself • To her Bold Goal is all about how we better understand those we serve and help them to bring their full self to any situation they are in • Kristina promotes getting to know your coworkers on a personal level – to understand them better and understand the reasons behind how they present themselves at work
